(laughs). but, spragga just took up the war upon his head and as a elder he should've really tried to find out what was the problem instead of becoming a part of the problem. there's no friendship there. i decided to not even call them name any more because the two of them aren't worth it. macka diamond betta dan di two of them. montana how do you go about writing your lyrics? vybz i just digest everything during the day and when i get home i write down my thoughts, unlike some who just write off the top of their head. when they do that, their lyrics don't have enough substance. everything and everybody inspires me to write. people, mostly women, guns, drugs, everything! montana speaking of women, since you mention breasts so much in your lyrics, people seem to think you're a breast man. is that your favorite part on a woman's body?
vybz no man! you know what my favorite part is (at this point, he looks around and since a young girl is standing close by, he smiles, embarrassed and stops himself like a true gentleman). montana speaking of ninja man, i heard your people were at the courthouse every day and he never showed up. vybz that's why the case is over. a warrant is out for his arrest. montana what happened with that? (for anyone who doesn't know, vybz punched ninja man in the face at sting last december on stage) was it something you always wanted to do or was it just spontaneous? vybz it was spontaneous because if you watch the video closely, he was the one who pushed vybz kartel first and being the authentic jamaican that i am i had to push back. but a big man still in the business. straight. yuh done know. i'm just keeping it real you see me. montana what are some of your favorite tunes you've recorded personally? vybz sweet to the belly, tek buddy (sings) 'fus ting mi do when mi wake up' 'tight pum pum in the miggle deh' and most recently 'dutty panty'. montana what are some of your favorite tunes by other artists? vybz whatever bounty killer sing, you know beenie man, 'from bed, pon wall, against floor, capleton, elephant have so much songs, sizzla-king, he reminds me of myself. he's nothing like me, but he has a style of his own that is separate and apart from anything else. no one can imitate it. montana are you going to do more acting in the future? vybz oh, you saw my low budget film? it wasn't a low budget film, it was a NO budget film. we did it on a very small camera. i don't know how it escaped and just started circulating. we're doing a low budget one now with a real film crew in jamaica now. i have some artists i'm trying to bust-escobar, slash, school boy, singer blinger. montana where would you like to perform the most that you haven't been yet? vybz africa. kenya, south africa, nigeria, ethiopia. montana anything else you want to add for the people? vybz up to the time is in stores, timeless the album is in stores, look out for the new album time minister on the greensleeves album. we have nuff video out so you can log on to any of those video stations and see the videos. crazy things! montana thanks very much! |
