We began our weekend activities at Joe's on Weed Street.  Luciano, Dub Dis and super sax man Dean Frasier.  Since Luciano was just here not even a year ago with the same line up , I didn't expect too much to be new, but I was pleasantly surprised with his tunes on the Drop Leaf and Doctor's Darling that I heard live for the first time.

About 130, we had to leave, unfortunately before the packed house at Luciano let out, to get to the Taste.  Our mission-to present to the public for the first time, the crown for the winner of the 1st annual official Midwest Dancehall Queen Competition.    The crowd came to a standstill to look at the platinum ladies holding the crown on a velvet pillow with all videolights on them  as Matrix sound announced the event.

Saturday, we began our mission again at VIP's annual reggae boat cruise.  There's nothing like looking at the beautiful Chicago night time skyline while listening to some good music, I tell you.  Swacky kept us entertained on the dancehall floor which soon became the floor to be as the Soca and Hip Hop floors all came to listen to some good reggae courtesy of Swacky and Class 1 sound.

After the boat, we headed down to Ruler's, where we witnessed a packed house vibing to Fatta and Shockwave.
