3rd
annual official midwest dancehall queen competition
07/07/07
Excerpts from the press:
From Nosaki Productions:
The
highly publicized, highly anticipated 2007 Midwest
Dancehall Queen took place last weekend. Judge from
the capacity crowd and the pure vibes atmosphere, I
would say the event was a complete success. There
were alot of out of town guest, a big showing from
Detroit which included Styles and the Reggae Girls
crew, Blackberry, Selebrity, Empress and many more.
In attendance were also Diamond, Destiny and Simone
out of Cleveland. There were also quite a few
people from Saint Louis too.

Once again my man D-Mose was the MC and he did a
good job keeping the show moving at a steady pace.
The level of competition this year was much higher
than the two previous years. The dancers came out
with better routines this year. The judges said
that the scores were very close. After the scores
were tabulated, DHQ Wicked came in second place.
Her routine was very energetic, her moves and
costumes seemed to be inspired by Africa. Relative
newcomer, Skittlez, took the first place trophy.
Her routine was crisp and precise and full of raw
emotion.
I'll like to bigup the promoters of the event,
Chicago Reggae. com and Fireworks Movement for a
well organized and promoted show. |
